Lake Seealpsee is situated right behind the Zeigersattel at Nebelhorn Mountain in Oberstdorf and we promise: it will take your breath away from the very first second: The deepest and bluest waters, surrounded by green lawn, cows and a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains including Mt. Höfats.

Even though the water is rather cold, the lake is perfect for taking a dip or even swimming a little on hot summer days. If you don’t want to bring a picnic basket, you can get food either at the station “Höfatsblick” on Nebelhorn or at the “Seealpseealp” directly on the lake.

To get to the lake, you can take the cable car to the station “Höfatsblick” and then walk to the Zeigersattel, or you can also hike all way up – the first part from the valley to the station “Seealpe” is a beautiful trail in the forest next to waterfalls.
